The first few photos where shot at the roundabout at Eastern Perimeter Road and East Church Road (BMI hangars). That's also where I became an official member of the "anti terrorism act 2000" fan club, as can be seen in the last picture.

The following photos where all taken from the top floor of the terminal 5 parking deck. At least for now this place offers great views over planes coming in on 09L. The place won't last for long. Only a meter or so has not been fenced of yet, not counting the sliproad which is of-limits to pedestrians, and that meter will be fenced of as well. The fence used is definately spotter-proof. The gaps are not big enough to be usefull for photography with even the smallest of cameras. When the fence has been extended you might have more luck with a (rather tall) ladder, but I would imagine BAA frowning on that. I did not check the lower levels so perhaps the fence there is more convenient, though I doubt it.

I was informed by some official looking guy that BAA has a policy banning quote: "big cameras" from the parking deck. Small pocket cameras are apparantly allowed. The official that told me considered this to be as big a load of bollocks as I did, and he did not mind me staying there. We had quite a nice chat too!
