The Polderbaan (18R/36L) approach.

Note: Beware of tightened parking restrictions all around the Polderbaan area! Police  strictly enforce them!

I'll put it to you straight. I am not sure if you are allowed to stand at the spot described here. I think you may stand here, but not park your car. However, the views are nice so it might be worth a short visit

From this spot you stand at the beginning of the runway, at a crash gate. You are not allowed to block the gate so you would have to park your car in the village of Boesingheliede and walk further. From the village to the crash gate is just a few minutes.

Getting there.

Without a car you won’t even have to consider going here. It can not be done without travelling for a long, long time.

From Schiphol plaza you should get onto the A4/E19 motorway in the direction of Den Haag. Exit at the first exit (Hoofddorp / Aalsmeer). At the end of the exit turn to the left onto the N201 (Kruisweg, changes halfway into “Weg om de Noord”) in the direction of Hoofddorp.

Continue following that road. After a few kilometres you will find an exit to the right towards Boesingheliede. Take that exit and turn right at the  N520 (Hoofdweg). At the first main crossing turn to the left onto the N232 (Schipholweg).

At this road you can just continue driving and you will see the crash gate at your left.

Again I would like to stress out that you should park in the village. It is illegal to block crash gates, even if  there are no signs indicating so.
